Toledo Thursday Market has graciously offered to host this information on their Web site. While they are not formally part of this Seed Exchange, they are advocates of home gardens.

Please read the following guidelines to stay safe during these uncertain times.

Key Information

DONATIONS: Please have seeds dropped off at the Library no later than February 20, 2021. Please no seeds older than 2018. Also, only heirloom and non-GMO seeds please.

SEED SELECTION & PICK UP: You will be requesting what seeds you would like via email. Please email weeds15@comcast.net with your name and the types of seeds you would like to plant. We will bag your seeds for you.

You’ll be able to pick up your bag of seeds at the Toledo Libary on March 6, 2021 between 10:00 & 2:00.

PLEASE NOTE: These seeds are for non-commercial use only. They cannot be resold. Home gardens only. You are not allowed to sell the produce from these seeds.

LIVE PLANT EXCHANGE: If you are donating live plants, please have them placed in Steamboat Alley by 10:00 a.m. on March 6, 2021. Please label/tag the plant you are donating.

Feel free to help yourself to anything you would like.  Please set plants along the side walls and leave a walkway open. Live plants will be available for at least a week.

RAFFLE: Any time you are at the library, please reach deep into your pocket and donate a dollar for each raffle ticket or 6 tickets for $5.  ?  Please be generous — afterall the seeds are free.  We need to try even harder this year to support our awesome volunteer library! Ask our terrific library staff for raffle tickets! 

Library hours are Wed. 12-4, Thurs. 12-4 and Sat. 10-2.

We usually have as many prizes as households picking up seed, so the odds are very good that you will win something.

The prizes will be on display at the Library at least a week before seeds are ready to pick up. See pictures of the items below.

The first ticket drawn will be scheduled for 10 a.m. pick up and get first choice of the prizes, etc. If drawn, you will be notified of a 15-minute window of a raffle prize pick up time. It will be to your advantage to be prompt so you get first choice. You can also pick up later, but the prize you want may be gone.  You may not pick up earlier.
